Gujarat Police launched Help Emergency Alert Rescue Terminal
(HEART) for women help. Women or girl who needs urgent police assistance can
dial 1091 number. 1091 is toll free number. So this service is totally
free.
Police department had improves existing helpline system and
launched PoliceHEART which can be pronounced as Police Heart, to increase safety of women. This service is launched to rescue woman in
emergency situation. This is very unique service launched for the first time in
India. It is going to implementing with
Gujarat home and police department.
Right now as a pilot project this service is available in Ahmedabad. If you are not living in Ahmedabad then also
you can register. This is great step taken by Police department. Citizen should
use HEART help and this system.
