Gujarat Police launched PoliceHEART service for women help

Gujarat Police launched Help Emergency Alert Rescue Terminal (HEART) for women help. Women or girl who needs urgent police assistance can dial 1091 number. 1091 is toll free number. So this service is totally free.

Police department had improves existing helpline system and launched PoliceHEART which can be pronounced as Police Heart, to increase safety of women. This service is launched to rescue woman in emergency situation. This is very unique service launched for the first time in India. It is going to implementing with Gujarat home and police department.  Right now as a pilot project this service is available in Ahmedabad. If you are not living in Ahmedabad then also you can register. This is great step taken by Police department. Citizen should use HEART help and this system.

HEART services:

• Women/Girl can use this service in case urgent police assistance require. Whenever you find yourself in a situation where you need urgent help from the police then you can use this service.

• If 1091 is dialed, HEART will pick up your call. It will get connected to Police operator and Police will try to speak with you. And very soon you will get help.
• If victim cannot talk or not able to talk, they can just dial 1091 or can give miscall. HEART will immediately search location and will reach to spot to help.
• 1091 number can be dialed from any mobile or Land line.
• Women or girl can also register to PoliceHEART website. No smart phone or GPS required. Any kind mobile or Land line can be used for registration.

Benefits of registration:

• If you want that your family or friends or relatives can get emergency SMS, then you need to register at PoliceHEART website. Registration would also help the police to rescue you as soon as possible.
• For registration you required to enter your mobile number. In detail you can upload your ID proof with residence address and also can add contact numbers of your family, friends and relatives.
• When 1091 is dialed, HEART system will send SMS with location to all registered numbers. HEART will also send alert to Police control room.
• So if women called 1091, Police will automatically get Name, address and other detail from registered data.

What HEART recommends?

Save 1091 number in your mobile phone and assign number 1 key as speed dial key. So that in urgent condition it is not required to search or dial whole number. By pressing 1 number key for sometime, it will use speed dial facility and will call 1091. If speed dial pressed by mistake then it can be canceled.
